Dan Enos is the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Wake Forest football in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, joining the Demon Deacons staff before the 2025 season after more than three decades in college coaching that have included offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, running backs coach and head coaching assignments across the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, American Athletic Conference and Mid-American Conference.
Wake Forest added Enos after his 2024 season at Florida, where he served as special assistant to the head coach and worked in advanced scouting and game planning. He arrived in Winston-Salem with an extensive background directing offenses and coaching quarterbacks, including prior stops at Arkansas, Maryland, Cincinnati, Miami and Alabama, as well as five seasons as head coach at Central Michigan. In 2025, Wake Forest produced one of its strongest offensive seasons in recent years. The Demon Deacons won nine games and closed the year with a Duke's Mayo Bowl victory, scored at least 30 points six times and averaged better than 28 points per game, their best scoring output since 2022. The offense also generated 27 plays of 30 yards or more, the program's highest total since 2022, and showed improved balance across the roster. The passing game spread production widely, with 11 different receivers catching touchdown passes, a program high for the modern era covered in the source material, while tight ends became a larger part of the offense with 33 receptions. Up front, Wake Forest cut its sacks allowed from 42 the year before to 17, improving from near the bottom of the FBS to a top-20 national ranking in that category. Quarterback Robby Ashford finished the season with the best late stretch of his career, throwing 14 touchdown passes over the final four games, the most he had ever produced in any four-game span, and accounted for a career-high five touchdowns in the bowl win over Mississippi State.
