Dan Brooks
Head Coach
Dan Brooks has served as the head coach of Duke University’s women’s golf program for more than four decades, establishing a legacy as one of the most decorated coaches in collegiate golf history. Over his tenure, Brooks guided the Blue Devils to seven NCAA national championships, 21 ACC Championships, and amassed 144 team tournament victories, the most by any women’s golf coach at the Division I level.
Brooks led Duke to its first women’s program national title in 1999 and crafted one of the great dynasties—three straight NCAA championships from 2005-07—and another title in 2014 and 2019. At Duke, he emphasized strong academics, recruitment of high-character student-athletes, and meticulous attention to golf fundamentals and preparation. His influence has extended beyond championships: his teams frequently posted top-10 national finishes and produced numerous All-Americans and future LPGA professionals.
