Crystal Bourque was in her eighth season as an assistant coach for the University of Rhode Island women's track and field program in Kingston, Rhode Island, in 2018-19, and she also worked with the school's cross country team. She joined Laurie Feit-Melnick's staff in September 2011 after completing her competitive career at Rhode Island.
Bourque's coaching work centered on the throwing events, including the shot put, hammer, discus, javelin, and weight throw. She also assisted with sprint and plyometric training, helped organize team meetings and practice schedules, and contributed to cross country workouts in the fall.
