Corey Muscara
Head Coach
Corey Muscara was announced on June 19, 2025 as the 26th head coach in the history of Duke University’s baseball program, marking his first head-coaching appointment at the NCAA Division I level. With 15 years of collegiate coaching experience under his belt—including the last four seasons as assistant coach at Wake Forest University—Muscara brings a proven track record of building elite pitching staffs and guiding teams to high levels of success.
At Wake Forest his units averaged 43 wins per season, reached the College World Series in 2023 for the first time since 1955, and in 2023 he was named D1Baseball’s Assistant Coach of the Year. Prior to Wake Forest, Muscara served as pitching coach at the University of Maryland (2018-21) and earlier at St. John’s University (2013-17) and Southern New Hampshire University (2010-12). As a player he completed his collegiate career at Franklin Pierce University, where he captained the baseball team and earned a bachelor’s degree in history in 2009. At Duke, Muscara inherits a program ready to build on its recent success and has expressed enthusiasm for developing the student-athletes while competing at the highest levels both on and off the field.
