Connor Lambert serves as the pitching coach for the University of Washington baseball program and quickly established himself as one of the top pitching instructors in the country during his first season in 2025. Under his leadership, the Huskies’ pitching staff ranked second in the Big Ten in earned run average and fewest runs allowed, showcasing a dramatic improvement from the previous year. The staff lowered its runs allowed per game by more than a full run, while multiple pitchers earned all-conference honors. Lambert’s ability to develop talent and improve performance was immediately evident, helping position Washington as a competitive force in its first season in the Big Ten.
Prior to joining Washington, Lambert spent seven seasons as the pitching coach at the University of Portland, where he helped transform the program into one of the top teams in the West Coast Conference. His pitchers consistently ranked among the conference leaders in ERA, and several were selected in the MLB Draft, including all three weekend starters in 2024. Lambert’s coaching career also includes time with the Corvallis Knights, where he contributed to multiple league championships, and the University of Utah, where he supported a Pac-12 championship team. A former pitcher at Washington State, Lambert brings both playing and coaching experience to his role, combining analytical insight with player development expertise to elevate pitching staffs at every stop.
