Colin Curtin is an assistant coach for La Salle men’s basketball in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He joined the staff in April 2025 after spending 12 seasons with Hofstra in a variety of roles. A Philadelphia native, Curtin reunited at La Salle with Joe Mihalich, under whom he had worked for more than a decade at both Niagara and Hofstra. During his years with Hofstra, Curtin served as director of basketball operations, assistant coach, and special assistant to the head coach. He helped the Pride win more than 200 games, including a school-record 27 victories in 2018-19.
His time there included seven 20-win seasons, four regular-season CAA titles, four postseason appearances, and the 2020 CAA championship. Before Hofstra, Curtin spent four seasons as director of basketball operations at Niagara, his alma mater, where he handled travel planning, summer camps, video coordination, fundraising support, equipment, recruiting logistics, film exchange, and facility scheduling. Curtin also served as head coach of Overseas Elite in The Basketball Tournament and led the team to championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He graduated from Niagara in 2009 with a degree in sports management after serving as a team manager during his undergraduate years. As a student manager, he was part of two postseason teams, including the 2007 NCAA Tournament squad, and assisted the coaching staff with a wide range of program responsibilities. His background combines coaching, operations, and administrative experience across multiple winning programs.
