Cole Hunter

Cole Hunter serves as Goalkeeper Coach for the UAB men’s soccer program, where he is responsible for the development, training, and performance management of the Blazers’ goalkeepers. Working closely with head coach David Lilly and the rest of the staff, Hunter designs specialized training sessions focused on shot-stopping, distribution, positioning, and command of the penalty area. His role is central to maintaining UAB’s defensive structure and ensuring consistency between the defensive unit and goalkeeper play. Hunter brings competitive playing and coaching experience to Birmingham, with a background rooted in high-level collegiate and developmental soccer. His approach emphasizes technical refinement, tactical awareness, and the mental aspects required for elite goalkeeper performance. Known for his detail-oriented instruction and ability to build strong relationships with student-athletes, Hunter contributes to both on-field performance and overall player growth within the program’s culture. His work supports UAB’s commitment to competing at the top level of conference and national play.
