Chuck Schall
Assistant Coach
Chuck Schall is a veteran baseball coach with deep roots in Central Florida’s baseball community and a long association with Rollins College. He began his playing career as a catcher at Flagler College in 1981, where he became known as a smooth-fielding player with a keen eye at the plate, ranking among the school’s all-time leaders in walks and earning a place on the Flagler 1980s All-Decade team. After his playing days, Schall quickly transitioned into coaching, first joining Rollins as an assistant in the mid-1980s immediately after college. His early coaching experience also included leading West Orange High School in Winter Garden and serving as a volunteer assistant at UCF focusing on catchers before returning to Rollins for a second multi-year stint where he helped the Tars win 214 games from 1997-2003.
Schall’s coaching career spans high school, collegiate, and summer league baseball. After his early collegiate work, he took the helm at Olympia High School in Orlando, elevating the program to national prominence and coaching multiple players who went on to college success and professional attention, including first-round MLB draft picks. Beginning in 2016 he also coached in the Florida Collegiate Summer League, where his teams reached multiple championship series and earned titles, and he was twice named Coach of the Year. Prior to the 2021 season, Schall returned to Rollins College for his third stint with the Tars baseball program, bringing decades of experience in player development, leadership, and competitive success.
