Christopher Lane is the head diving coach for George Washington University's men's and women's swimming and diving program in Washington, D.C. Named to the position in September 2021, he is entering his sixth season leading GW's divers after joining the university in 2019 while pursuing an MPH through the Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Lane's tenure has coincided with a sustained rise in the program's diving results. George Washington scored 106 diving points at the Atlantic 10 Championships in 2022, 137 in 2023, and 174 in 2024, when the men's and women's divers combined for the highest total in school history and the best A-10 total in eight years. He was recognized as the 2024 A-10 Women's Diving Coach of the Year. His divers have broken eight school records, produced nine NCAA Zone qualifiers, earned eight academic All-America honors, and won multiple conference medals and titles.
