Christine LaRochelle
Assistant Coach
Christine LaRochelle is an assistant coach for the Stevens Institute of Technology softball program, joining the Ducks’ coaching staff in September 2023. In her role, she works primarily with the team’s pitchers, bringing specialized expertise to one of the most critical components of competitive softball. LaRochelle is a program alumna who enjoyed a standout collegiate career for the Ducks from 2016 to 2019. During her playing tenure, she compiled 31 victories with a 2.74 earned run average over 403 innings pitched, ranking among the top career ERAs in Stevens softball history. She made 77 appearances, struck out 224 batters, recorded 40 complete games, six shutouts, and three saves — establishing herself as one of the most accomplished pitchers in program history.
Off the field, LaRochelle excelled academically while at Stevens, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in systems engineering with a 3.91 GPA in 2019. She was a multiple-time President’s List selection and earned recognition from College Sports Communicators as the first Academic All-American in Stevens softball history. After graduating, LaRochelle entered the workforce in New York City as a technology consultant with Protiviti, working on the Enterprise Applications Solutions team, and previously completed internships with Protiviti and L’Oréal USA. The 2023 appointment at her alma mater marks her first collegiate coaching position, where she has begun applying her pitching knowledge and competitive experience to the current roster.
