Chris Tilton is the pitching coach for Fairfield University baseball in Fairfield, Connecticut, and entered his second season with the program after joining the staff following five years at Brown University.
In his first year with the Stags, Fairfield posted the lowest earned run average in the MAAC at 4.55, a mark that ranked 33rd nationally in Division I, and also led the conference in WHIP at 1.54. Under Tilton's guidance, Ben Alekson earned MAAC Pitcher of the Year honors after recording the league's lowest ERA at 2.47, which also ranked among the nation's best. Alekson also received All-Region, All-ECAC, All-MAAC First Team, and All-Championship Team recognition. Freshman Harrison Engle was named MAAC Rookie of the Year, becoming the first pitcher in Fairfield history to win that award, and was selected to the Freshman All-American Second Team after tying for the team lead with seven wins.
