Christian Pickerel
Director of Golf
Christian Pickerel was appointed as the Director of Golf at Queens University of Charlotte in August 2025, becoming the first head golf coach in the Royals’ NCAA Division I era. Prior to his arrival in Charlotte, he spent time at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU), where he served as assistant women’s golf coach beginning in 2022 and contributed to recruiting, practice operations, player development, and team performance.
During his tenure at LMU, the women’s golf team recorded multiple tournament victories, broke program records in scoring averages, and earned a WGCA Coaches Poll top-25 ranking for the first time in school history. Pickerel is a Wingate University alumnus, holding a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Earlier in his playing career, he was a member of the Wingate men’s golf team, where he competed in intercollegiate events and posted low rounds in tournaments. His background combines competitive playing experience, coaching development, and program building—an alignment well suited to leading both the men’s and women’s golf programs at Queens as they continue their growth and transition.
