Chris Shaw became head coach of the Temple University women's soccer program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in January 2024 after 15 years as a collegiate head coach.
Before arriving at Temple, Shaw spent four seasons at Robert Morris University. His 2023 team finished 12-5-3 and reached the semifinals of the Horizon League Championship, marking the program's first postseason appearance since Robert Morris joined the league in 2020. Following the 2021 season, Robert Morris received the United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award at the bronze level. Under Shaw, midfielder Kaoru Hayashi became the first player in program history to earn Scholar All-American recognition, and Emily Rocco was named to the 2021 All-Horizon League Freshman Team.
