Chris Rojas is the associate head coach for baseball at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he also works with the pitching staff. He is in his fifth season on the Hofstra staff in 2025-26 and was promoted to associate head coach in October 2025. Rojas joined the Pride after serving as a volunteer assistant at Long Island University in 2021. Before that, he coached at New York Tech from 2018 to 2020, overseeing the pitching staff and contributing to the program's 2019 College World Series run.
In his first season at Hofstra, Rojas was part of a staff that helped the Pride win the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association title and reach the NCAA Regionals. Hofstra's pitchers recorded 30 wins that year, the second-highest total in program history. His work with the staff has included the development of Carlos Martinez, who earned First Team All-CAA honors and later became a two-time first-team selection while also becoming the third player in program history to reach 200 career strikeouts. Rojas also directed notable role changes on the mound, including the move of Michael O'Hanlon from closer to starter and Mike McKenna from catcher to closer; McKenna set Hofstra's single-season saves record with 11 in 2024 and later signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Twins. In 2024, Rojas also served as pitching coach for Team Navy at USA Baseball's 16U/17U National Team Development Program in Cary, North Carolina.
