Chris Pappas is the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and is in his fourth season with the program in 2025-26. He joined Fairfield after serving as head coach of Quinnipiac's men's team from 2014 to 2022, following an earlier season as an assistant with the Bobcats.
In his first three completed years at Fairfield, the Stags' men's and women's teams reached the MAAC Championship Match five times combined. The women won the 2024 MAAC Championship, and both teams claimed MAAC regular-season titles that year, with the men also earning the 2023 regular-season crown. At Quinnipiac, Pappas was a two-time MAAC Coach of the Year and led the Bobcats to a 33-13 conference record and three appearances in the MAAC Championship Match. A USPTA Certified Professional with more than 20 years of coaching and teaching experience, he also served as Director of Elite Junior Tennis at North Haven Health & Racquet Club. Pappas earned a B.S. in Corporate Communication from Southern Connecticut State University in 1996 and graduated from Quinnipiac University Law School in 2003.
