Chris Maiello is the head coach of women's swimming and diving at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. He was introduced on April 19, 2017, and entered his ninth season leading the Huskies with 23 years of coaching experience, including 13 as a Division I head coach.
Under Maiello, UConn has remained a regular contender at the conference level. The Huskies have produced multiple individual champions, finished second at the Big East Championships, and set a program record for points at the conference championship meet in each of the last four seasons noted in the source. UConn swimmers and divers have also advanced to the NCAA Championships, USA Swimming championships, and international competition. Maiello and his staff were named Big East Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024.
