Chris MacKenzie is the head coach of the University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team in Storrs, Connecticut, and enters his 13th season leading the program in 2025-26. He was appointed in May 2013 as the second head coach in program history and has built his career across both women's and men's Division I hockey.
At UConn, MacKenzie has overseen the most successful period the program has had. In 2024-25, the Huskies won their second straight Hockey East regular-season title and finished 19-6-2 in conference play. UConn spent nearly the entire season in the national rankings, climbed as high as No. 8, and again allowed the fewest goals in Hockey East games. MacKenzie was named Hockey East Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
