Chris Lindauer became Stanford's Paul A. Violich Director of Women's Swimming in May 2025, making him the eighth head coach in program history. He arrived with 15 years of coaching experience that included individual national champions, nearly 100 women's and men's NCAA All-Americans, Olympic qualifiers, and USA National Team staff work.
Before Stanford, Lindauer led Notre Dame's swimming and diving programs and helped the men reach historic NCAA finishes, including a program-best 10th place in 2024. He also spent 13 seasons at Louisville, where he coached Olympians, NCAA champions, more than 100 All-America honors, and helped the Cardinals earn major ACC and NCAA team breakthroughs.
