Chris Casey is the head men's basketball coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, a position he assumed on an interim basis before the 2023-24 season and officially on March 12, 2024, when he became the 14th head coach in program history.
A longtime college coach, Casey joined Fairfield's staff as an assistant before the 2019-20 season and had already led programs at Niagara, LIU Post, and Rutgers-Newark before taking over the Stags. Entering the 2026-27 season, he was set to begin his 41st straight year in college basketball, with experience as a head coach, assistant coach, and graduate assistant. Across that career, he has reached seven NCAA postseason tournaments at the Division I, II, and III levels and has coached or recruited more than 30 all-conference selections and 11 major conference award winners.
