George Washington reached the second round of the NIT in 2025-26, earning the program's first postseason victory since 2017 with a first-round win at Utah Valley. The team finished 19-16, giving the program back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2015-16 and 2016-17. That season also included several notable offensive benchmarks, including school records for three-pointers made and assists, while the team averaged 81.4 points per game, its best mark since 1969-70.
