Chris Baloga
Head Coach
Chris Baloga has been the driving force behind the Loyola University Maryland men’s golf program since the 2010-11 season. Under his direction, the Greyhounds have won eight conference titles and competed in the NCAA Regional Championships eight times — underscoring a sustained tradition of excellence.
Baloga himself is a highly accomplished amateur golfer. He was a leading player in Maryland’s Player of the Year rankings in multiple years, claimed titles such as the Washington Metropolitan Mid-Amateur, the Maryland Mid-Amateur Stroke Play, and the Middle Atlantic Amateur. He also played his collegiate golf at Towson University where he earned Scholar-Athlete honors all four years and served as team co-captain.
Off the course, Coach Baloga emphasizes not just athletic performance but academic achievement: his teams have secured multiple Academic All-Conference honors, Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, and national scholar-athlete recognitions. Originally from Calvert Hall College High School and now residing in Towson with his wife Marci and son Hudson, Baloga combines deep local roots with a national competitive mindset to lead Loyola’s golf student-athletes.
