Chip Webb
Assistant Coach
Chip Webb joined the Virginia Tech men’s tennis staff in September 2023, bringing with him a strong collegiate playing background and a passion for mentoring emerging athletes. During his time at Florida State, Webb was a four-year letter winner and in his senior season earned First Team All-ACC honors, contributing to the Seminoles’ runner-up finish in the ACC.
Before his FSU tenure, Webb had success in junior competition. In the Easter Bowl, for example, he reached the Round of 16 in the under-18 singles draw and finished third in under-18 doubles. At the 16s level, he was ranked No. 1 in Tennessee boys 16s singles, No. 2 in Southern boys 15s singles, and No. 7 in U.S. boys 16s singles. Since joining the coaching ranks, Webb has been active in Virginia Tech’s tennis camps and development programs. He also holds an MBA and serves as assistant coach at the collegiate level while continuing to build his coaching resume.
