Chevis Jackson is the assistant coach for cornerbacks on the Wake Forest football staff in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, joining the Demon Deacons before the 2025 season when head coach Jake Dickert added him to the program. A longtime defensive backs coach, Jackson arrived at Wake Forest with experience across multiple Power conference programs and with an NFL playing background that included time with five franchises.
In his first season at Wake Forest, the defense showed major improvement across the board. The Demon Deacons finished among the top five teams in the ACC in both total defense and pass defense, gave up the fewest yards per play in the league, and allowed the fourth-fewest total touchdowns in the conference. Wake Forest also cut more than 100 yards per game from its total defense compared with the previous season and reduced its average points allowed by nearly 10.5 per game. Opponents were held to 14 points or fewer seven times in 13 games, the program's highest total in that category since the 2006 ACC championship season.
