Chantell Alford is the Director of Player Development for the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's basketball program in Amherst, Massachusetts, a position she assumed in June 2024. She joined UMass after serving as an assistant coach at Livingstone College in 2023-24, where her responsibilities included team travel, scouting, and on-court coaching.
Before entering coaching, Alford played professionally overseas for seven years. She began her pro career in Belarus, where she was part of a league championship team and earned Finals MVP honors, then played in Ireland from 2015 to 2020, winning two cup titles, two league championships, and another Finals MVP award.
