Chantel Govan serves as Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator for University of Texas at San Antonio's Women's Basketball program in San Antonio, Texas.
A former Roadrunner, Chantel Govan, will enter her third season as Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator in 2026-27 after serving as Director of Operations for the 2023-24 season and as a Graduate Assistant during the 2022-23 season. Govan will add lead guard coach to her duties for the 2026-27 campaign. Guards she’s mentored at UTSA include 2024-25 American Conference Newcomer of the Year, All-Newcomer and All-Conference Second Team selection, Nina De Leon Negron, and 2026 American All-Tournament pick, Ereauna Hardaway.
