Chad Surman serves as Head Coach for Iona University's Men's Lacrosse program in New Rochelle, New York.
Chad Surman enters his fourth season as head coach of Iona University men's lacrosse in 2025–26 and his second year guiding the Gaels in varsity competition. As the architect of the newest Division I program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), Surman has led Iona from concept to competition, overseeing every aspect of building the team from scratch. In 2024–25, the Gaels completed their inaugural season on the field with a roster composed entirely of true and redshirt freshmen.
