Casey Handrahan is the associate head coach for the University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team in Storrs, Connecticut. He entered the 2025-26 season in his 13th year on the UConn staff and his fifth as associate head coach after being elevated to that title in September 2021. His responsibilities have included coaching goaltenders and defense, overseeing the power play, and handling recruiting and video analysis.
Since arriving at UConn in 2013, Handrahan has been part of one of the strongest periods in program history. He helped the Huskies win consecutive Hockey East regular-season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25, and in 2023-24 UConn also captured its first Hockey East tournament championship, set a program record with 25 victories, and earned the program's first NCAA tournament berth. That team finished ninth in the national polls and led the country in scoring defense at 1.24 goals allowed per game.
