Carlo Acquista is the head coach of the Fordham University men's soccer program in Bronx, New York, and completed his seventh season leading the Rams in 2025. He arrived at Fordham for the 2019 season and has guided the program to six Atlantic 10 Championship appearances, with five trips to at least the semifinal round. His teams earned NCAA Tournament berths in 2020 and 2024, and Fordham won the Atlantic 10 title in 2020-21. After that championship season, he received the 2020-21 Iron Major Award as Fordham Coach of the Year.
Through seven seasons at Fordham, Acquista compiled a 46-40-33 record, including a 26-14-16 mark in Atlantic 10 play. His players have earned 15 All-Atlantic 10 selections under his direction, including the league's 2025 Offensive Player of the Year, 2025 Midfielder of the Year Daniel D'Ippolito, and 2025 Rookie of the Year Daniel Lang. Joergen Oland was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, and D'Ippolito also earned Midfielder of the Year honors in 2024. Fordham players coached by Acquista have also received Academic All-America recognition from CoSIDA/College Sports Communicators, including Johannes Pieles in 2019, Timo Hummrich in 2023, and D'Ippolito in 2024 and 2025. His Fordham teams have also appeared in the United Soccer Coaches poll for at least one week in four of the last six seasons.
