Carl Lafferty serves as Assistant Coach for University of Mississippi's Baseball program in University, Mississippi. Carl Lafferty has spent 20 seasons as a full-time assistant coach at Ole Miss, including 16 as the team’s recruiting coordinator, making him the longest-tenured assistant coach in the Southeastern Conference. Lafferty’s first class was ranked No. 8 by Baseball America, a group that led the Rebels to Omaha in 2014 for the first time since 1972.
Lafferty’s 2016 class was ranked No. 1 in national recruiting rankings conducted by Baseball America and D1Baseball.com. Lafferty’s success in putting together some of the nation’s best classes has not gone unnoticed by his peers.
