Carley Kuhns
Assistant Coach and Offensive Specialist
Carley Kuhns joined the Maryland women’s basketball staff in 2025 as an Assistant Coach and Offensive Specialist. Prior to her arrival at Maryland, she spent six seasons as the head coach at Samford, where under her leadership the Bulldogs captured two Southern Conference (SoCon) championships and made two NCAA Tournament appearances. During her tenure there, she was honored as SoCon Coach of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. Before Samford, Kuhns was the head coach at Valdosta State for three seasons, compiling a 66-29 record, leading her teams to two NCAA Tournament appearances (including a Sweet 16 run in 2018), and winning one Gulf South Conference Tournament title in 2017. As a collegiate player, she competed for Valdosta State from 2004 to 2008, registering 1,133 career points (16th in program history), setting the school record for 3-pointers made (262), and earning honors such as Kodak/State Farm WBCA Honorable Mention All-American and two First Team All-Gulf South Conference selections.
