Carla Campagna-Pessoa became associate head coach of the Hofstra softball program in Hempstead, New York, in August 2025.
She arrived at Hofstra after serving as Iona's head coach for the 2025 season. Under her direction, the Gaels recorded 29 wins, their highest total since 2012, including 18 conference victories in the MAAC, and reached the eighth game of the MAAC Championship. That season, three Iona players earned All-MAAC recognition and five were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
