Candice Jackson
Assistant Coach/Chief of Staff
Candice M. Jackson joined the Auburn University women’s basketball program as Assistant Coach and Chief of Staff in April 2025, bringing more than two decades of Division I coaching experience to the Tigers. Prior to Auburn, she spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Jackson’s extensive résumé includes assistant coaching stops at Duke, Wake Forest, Buffalo, and Richmond, as well as serving as Director of Recruiting at her alma mater, Michigan State. From 2014 to 2019, she led the College of Charleston as head coach, guiding the program through five competitive seasons while continuing to build her reputation as a strong recruiter and player developer.
Throughout her career, Jackson has worked with 12 McDonald’s High School All-Americans, two WNBA first-round draft picks, two USBWA All-Americans, and three AP All-Americans. While at Duke, she helped guide the Blue Devils to back-to-back NCAA Elite Eight appearances in 2012 and 2013 and played a key role in securing the nation’s second-ranked recruiting class in 2013. Earlier in her career, she contributed to successful turnarounds at Wake Forest and Richmond, helping both programs earn WNIT appearances. A native of Lansing, Michigan, Jackson was a four-year letterwinner and team captain at Michigan State before beginning her coaching career as a graduate assistant on the Spartans’ 2004-05 national runner-up squad.
