Caleb Nickens is the assistant coach for throws for the University at Buffalo track and field program in Buffalo, New York, joining the staff before the 2024-25 season.
A former Buffalo student-athlete, Nickens competed for the Bulls from 2018 to 2024 in the hammer throw and weight throw. He finished his career ranked third in program history in both events, recording marks of 64-6.50 (19.67m) in the weight throw and 199-10 (60.92m) in the hammer throw. Nickens also posted nine top-10 finishes and five top-five finishes at the MAC Championships, qualified for the 2021 NCAA East Preliminary Rounds, and received the MAC Medal of Excellence for achievement in athletics and academics.
