Brooke Wyckoff
Head Coach
Brooke Wyckoff was named the ninth head coach of the Florida State women’s basketball program on March 29, 2022. She has emphasized a style of basketball rooted in strong team culture, academic commitment, and fast-paced play. Under her guidance, Florida State has maintained a streak of NCAA Tournament appearances (a run of 12 straight at present) and has produced multiple All-ACC and All-America honorees. In the 2024-25 season, her team led the nation in scoring (averaging 86.9 points per game), recorded seven games with over 100 points, and set a program record for most points in a single game (119). Before ascending to head coach, Wyckoff’s coaching journey began at Florida State, where she served as assistant from 2011 onward. She was named associate head coach in 2018, and served as interim head coach in 2020–21 before returning to the associate role in 2021–22. As a player, she starred at Florida State from 1997 to 2001, and then played nine seasons in the WNBA with stops in Orlando, Connecticut, and Chicago. Off the court, she is married (to Jose Ramon Esmoris), has a daughter named Avery, and is a founding member of “Moms in Coaching,” a group for women balancing coaching and motherhood.
