Brittney Orashen

Brittney Orashen joined the University of South Florida women’s lacrosse program in July 2022 as associate head coach, reuniting with head coach Mindy McCord as the Bulls prepared to launch their Division I program. Orashen arrived in Tampa following a standout season at Stanford University, where she served as defensive coordinator during the 2021–22 campaign. At Stanford, she helped guide the Cardinal to Pac-12 regular season and tournament championships, a Top 25 national ranking, and an NCAA Tournament appearance, while mentoring players who earned Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year, Pac-12 Attacker of the Year, and All-America honors. Prior to Stanford, Orashen spent six seasons on McCord’s staff at Jacksonville University from 2015–21, including serving as associate head coach during the 2020–21 season. During her tenure, Jacksonville captured eight ASUN Conference championships, five ASUN Tournament titles, and earned five NCAA Tournament appearances. Orashen’s defensive units consistently ranked among the nation’s best, finishing in the NCAA top 10 in scoring defense three times and ranking among the leaders in caused turnovers in five seasons. As a coach, she helped develop two ASUN Defensive Players of the Year and three ASUN Players of the Year, while playing a central role in one of the most statistically dominant stretches in JU history. A Lebanon, New Jersey native, Orashen was also an elite collegiate player at Jacksonville, earning First Team All-America honors and twice being named ASUN Defensive Player of the Year. She brings elite defensive insight, recruiting experience, and championship pedigree to USF’s growing women’s lacrosse program.
