Loyola University Maryland Athletics
Under his leadership, the Greyhounds have achieved substantial success both athletically and academically. For example, during the 2022-23 season the team earned seven individual Patriot League titles, had multiple All-Patriot League honorees, and saw strong representation on All-Academic honors lists. Loeffler has also been honored individually — he earned Patriot League Men's Swimming Coach of the Year in 2024 and previously in 2020, and before joining the Patriot League he guided Loyola to eight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) titles. With a background as a high-performing swimmer himself and a leader of his program for decades, Coach Loeffler blends continuity, competitive excellence, and academic emphasis in his role at Loyola.
