Brian Baker is the associate head coach for Wake Forest men's tennis in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He joined the staff after three years with the USTA, where he oversaw junior player development and served as the lead U.S. coach at the junior Grand Slams. His players there included Bruno Kuzuhara, who reached No. 1 in the junior world rankings and won the 2022 Junior Australian Open, as well as Michael Zheng and Learner Tien, both finalists at major junior events.
Before the USTA, Baker spent six years as an assistant coach at Belmont and Vanderbilt. As a player, he rose to No. 52 in singles and No. 29 in doubles, represented the United States at the 2016 Rio Olympics, reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon in 2012, and earned a singles win over Novak Djokovic.
