Brent Crouch
Head Coach
Brent Crouch enters his sixth season as Head Coach of Auburn Volleyball in 2025, continuing a transformative run that has elevated the program to new national relevance. Since taking over in 2020, Crouch has guided the Tigers to multiple historic milestones, including back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2022 and 2023—an achievement unmatched in program history. The 2023 season marked Auburn’s first NCAA seeded berth (No. 7) and its first consecutive 20-win campaigns since the early 1990s. Under his leadership, Auburn has earned marquee victories over top-15 opponents, broken attendance records at Neville Arena, and set numerous rally-scoring era benchmarks in hitting percentage, blocks, and aces. In 2022, he was named AVCA South Region Coach of the Year after leading Auburn to 22 wins and its first NCAA Tournament victory over a nationally ranked opponent in more than five years.
Prior to Auburn, Crouch served as head coach at USC, leading the Trojans to consecutive NCAA second-round appearances and mentoring multiple AVCA All-Americans. He previously rebuilt the Portland program, earning West Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors and establishing beach volleyball as a varsity sport. His coaching résumé also includes service with Saint Mary’s and USA Volleyball, where he worked alongside U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Karch Kiraly. A Texas A&M graduate with both a master’s degree and doctorate in philosophy, Crouch combines academic distinction with competitive excellence. He holds a career head coaching record of 164-146 across 11 seasons and has overseen four NCAA Tournament appearances.
