Brandon Gillis is an assistant coach for the University of Rhode Island men's golf team in Kingston, Rhode Island, and entered his second season on the staff in 2024-25 after joining the program in September 2023.
In his first season as a coach, he helped Bryson Richards earn Division I PING All-Northeast recognition and All-Atlantic 10 honors, while also contributing to the development of freshmen Tony Liu and Josiah Tong, who both received Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week awards. Gillis previously competed for Rhode Island from 2018 to 2023, earning all-region and all-conference honors. A transfer from Wake Forest, he won two events for URI and graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in psychology.
