Brad Rickel has led the Gonzaga University women’s golf program for two decades, establishing it as one of the premier programs in the West Coast Conference. Since returning to Gonzaga prior to the 2007–08 season, Rickel has overseen a period of unprecedented success, including a conference championship in 2021 and multiple NCAA Regional appearances. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs have consistently lowered program scoring records and achieved national recognition, including top-25 rankings. His teams have captured numerous tournament titles, and Gonzaga has become a regular contender at the conference and national levels.
Rickel has also played a pivotal role in developing elite individual talent, coaching multiple All-WCC performers, conference champions, and NCAA qualifiers. Notably, he guided Gonzaga’s first NCAA Championship participants and helped elevate the program’s national profile through standout individual and team performances. Prior to his tenure at Gonzaga, Rickel built successful men’s and women’s programs at the University of Idaho, earning multiple conference coach of the year honors. A Class A PGA professional, he has also coached at the professional level and brings extensive experience in player development. His long-standing leadership has transformed Gonzaga women’s golf into a nationally competitive and academically strong program.
