Before joining Florida Tech, MacArthur built a respected coaching résumé internationally and in Canadian lacrosse. He spent eight years as General Manager and head coach of the Israeli Indoor National Team, leading the squad to a gold medal at the 2017 European Box Championships and strong World Indoor Championship finishes, and was honored as the 2016 Israel Lacrosse Man of the Year for his efforts growing the sport. His club coaching included leading the Brooklin Lacrosse Club in Major Series Lacrosse and stints with the Whitby Steelhawks and Clarington Green Gaels in Canadian leagues. As a player, MacArthur was a standout at St. Andrews Presbyterian College, earned USILA All-America and Academic All-America honors, and was a first-round National Lacrosse League draft pick, playing professionally for seven years and winning the NLL Champions Cup with the Calgary Roughnecks in 2004.
