Bob Thompson is the head coach of the Boston College men's soccer program in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and enters his seventh season in that position in 2026. He joined the Eagles' staff as associate head coach in 2018 and was formally appointed head coach in January 2020 after serving as interim head coach in 2019.
Since taking over the program, Thompson has overseen several notable results in ACC play and beyond. Boston College won seven matches in 2025, recorded six shutouts, beat No. 14 Virginia Tech on the road, and played No. 7 Duke to a scoreless draw. The team also set a program single-game scoring record in a 14-0 win over Dean College. Freshman goalkeeper Andrej Borak earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors after ranking first in the conference in saves per game, and two Eagles were named to the All-ACC Academic Team.
