Bobby Reynolds
Head Coach
Bobby Reynolds will enter his 10th season as Head Coach of the Auburn men’s tennis program in 2025-26, having taken the helm in June 2016. Under his leadership, the Tigers have experienced sustained success in the SEC and nationally, including four NCAA Tournament appearances and multiple second-round finishes. In 2025, Reynolds guided Auburn to a 20-11 record and its fourth consecutive NCAA Championship berth, highlighted by a dominant 13-1 home record and a top-30 ITA national ranking for the fourth straight season. His 2024 squad delivered the program’s best SEC finish in nearly two decades, earning marquee wins over nationally ranked opponents and achieving a 7-5 conference record. In 2022, he was named ITA Southern Region Coach of the Year after leading Auburn to its first 20-win season since 2002 and an SEC semifinal appearance.
Before arriving at Auburn, Reynolds served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma, helping the Sooners reach the NCAA Championship match in 2016. A standout collegiate player at Vanderbilt, Reynolds was the 2003 SEC Player of the Year and NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, finishing his senior season ranked No. 1 nationally. He remains Vanderbilt’s career leader in multiple singles categories and was inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. Reynolds also enjoyed a 12-year professional career, competing in 17 Grand Slam singles main draws and 20 doubles main draws, reaching the third round of the 2005 Australian Open, and earning accolades including the 2012 World Team Tennis MVP. A native of Acworth, Georgia, Reynolds and his wife, Dr. Josie Reynolds, have three sons: Parker, Mason, and Blake.
