Bobby Jones
Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line
Bobby Jones joined The College of New Jersey football staff in June 2025 as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, becoming a key member of head coach Tyler Moody’s inaugural staff in Ewing. Jones returned to the Division III level after spending the 2024 season as head coach at Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore, where he guided the program to the MIAA championship, its first state title in 11 years. His success earned him Coach of the Year honors from both the Maryland Football Foundation and the Baltimore Touchdown Club. At Curley, Jones held expansive responsibilities, serving not only as head coach but also as the program’s sole recruiter, academic coordinator, fundraising coordinator, and coordinator of offense, defense, and special teams.
Jones brings extensive collegiate experience across all three NCAA divisions. He spent five seasons at Washington and Lee University from 2018 to 2023, including time as associate head coach and offensive coordinator. During that span, he coached multiple position groups and served as play caller for an offense that captured the ODAC title and reached the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2021. Earlier in his career, Jones was a graduate assistant at Springfield College, where he worked within a triple-option system and helped the Pride secure the NEWMAC championship and an NCAA berth in 2017. He also gained Division I experience at Rutgers University in player development, assisting with the offensive line and tight ends. A former standout offensive lineman at Washington and Lee, Jones was a three-time All-ODAC selection and earned his bachelor’s degree in business before completing a master’s degree in education at Springfield, shaping a coaching approach grounded in development, discipline, and academic success.
