Bobby Hurley
Head Coach
Bobby Hurley is the longtime head coach of Stevens Institute of Technology men’s basketball, entering his 18th season leading the Ducks in 2025–26. Under his direction, Stevens has become a consistent Division III contender, compiling a 284–152 overall record entering the season. Hurley has guided the program to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips in 2012–13, 2019–20, 2021–22, and 2023–24. One of the program’s signature moments came in 2021–22, when Stevens won an NCAA Tournament game and reached the second round, marking its deepest run since 2007.
Hurley’s teams have paired postseason success with conference championships, highlighted by the 2019–20 MAC Freedom regular-season and tournament titles and additional MAC Freedom tournament crowns in 2022 and 2024. Over his tenure, Stevens has also produced standout performers and academic achievers, including the program’s first All-American (Spencer Cook, 2019–20) and major award winners in the MAC Freedom. Before taking over as head coach, Hurley served on the Stevens staff in multiple roles, including associate head coach, and helped the program to notable postseason runs. A former student-athlete at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he was recognized as a Verizon Academic All-American in 2001 and later earned a master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University California.
