Bobby Horodyski
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach/Defensive Coordinator
Bobby Horodyski joined the Queens University of Charlotte men’s basketball staff in the summer of 2023, assuming the role of assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, and also serving as defensive coordinator and scheduling coordinator. Before returning to Charlotte, Horodyski spent four years as the Director of Basketball Operations at Brigham Young University, where he managed recruiting, non-conference scheduling, NIL operations, personnel hiring, and academic oversight. During his tenure at BYU, he played a key role in landing top recruits (such as Collin Chandler, a 4-star ESPN No. 26 prospect) and helped develop standout players who earned All-WCC honors. Under his influence, BYU’s defensive performance often ranked among the top in KenPom rankings.
Prior to BYU, Horodyski held operational roles at Utah Valley University and served in support roles at UCF (as team manager and two-year letter winner) and at the University of Wyoming as a graduate assistant, where he worked in recruiting, scouting, operations, and player development. At Queens, Horodyski has already overseen recruiting efforts, contributed heavily to the defense, and helped build the program’s first 20-win season in Division I. His coaching philosophy is grounded in discipline, structure, and maximizing the impact of the defensive side of the game, while also leveraging his operational and recruiting acumen.
