Billy Colbert has served as an assistant coach for George Washington University women's rowing in Washington, D.C., since August 2025. He joined GW after working extensively in youth rowing, most recently as head coach at Oklahoma City Riversport, where he oversaw the women's program across age groups from eighth grade through high school. He had previously spent a year as the program's U17 head coach.
Before that, Colbert coached freshmen boys at Saratoga Rowing Association in Saratoga Springs, New York, for four years and was the lead novice coach at Three Rivers Rowing Association in Pittsburgh for two years. A return to the Washington area, he graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University in 2017 with a degree in management and was captain of the varsity men's rowing team.
