Bill O'Boyle is San Diego State's run game coordinator and offensive line coach, bringing more than 35 years of coaching experience and over 20 seasons focused on offensive line play. He came back to SDSU after two seasons at Northwestern, where his linemen earned multiple all-Big Ten honors and the Wildcats capped the 2025 season with a GameAbove Sports Bowl victory.
O'Boyle previously coached with Sean Lewis at Kent State and followed him to Colorado in 2023. At Kent State, his offensive lines helped power the high-tempo Flash Fast offense, including top national rankings in total offense and rushing offense, school records for offensive production and the program's first bowl win. His broader resume includes stops at South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Chadron State and Western Illinois, plus seven seasons as a head coach.
