Ben Zajic
Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach
Ben Zajic joined the FSU swimming & diving staff after coaching at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) beginning in 2020. During his tenure at FAU, he helped lead the men’s team to strong performances at conference-level meets, with multiple swimmers earning outstanding honors and the team breaking program records. Prior to his time at FAU, Zajic served as an assistant coach at the University of Nevada–Reno for the 2019–20 season. He also has experience coaching club-level swimming: he was the lead national and administrative coach for the Kansas City Blazers, and he previously coached at Nation’s Capital Swim Club (NCAP) while also volunteering at George Mason University. Zajic swam collegiately at Lafayette College (earning a B.S. in biology & psychology) and obtained a M.S. in kinesiology from East Carolina University in 2017. He is certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine.
