Ben Colin serves as Assistant Coach for University of Northern Iowa's Women's Swimming and Diving program in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The UNI Swimming and Diving team has announced the hiring of Ben Colin as the team’s Assistant Coach. While at the University of Iowa Colin earned his degree in Sport & Recreation Management and Journalism, & Mass Communications.
He was a three time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and served as the chair of the Iowa Student Athlete Advisory Committee. A key contributor to the Panthers' success in the pool, Colin has been responsible for the development of a para swimming training program for UNI student-athletes Olivia Chambers and later Cali Prochaska as both competed on the para swimming circuit both nationally and internationally. Colin was selected to the United States coaching staff for the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester, England, as well as the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France. While at Iowa, Colin was named the 2019 NCAA Jim McKay Scholar for excellence in sport communication.
